Duration and Schedule of Internship
• 3 or 5 consecutive months
• Working time is 8 hours a day, 6 Days a week or a total of 48 hours per week
• Overtime is allowed but should not be more than 10 hours a day
• Internship Schedule (indicated below)

Inclusions
• Internship experience from a Foreign Host Establishment
• Roundtrip economy airfare with 15kgs check-in luggage
• Dormitory accommodation (2-4 persons per room) during the entire duration of the internship period
• 2 meals per working day during the entire duration of internship
• Daily scheduled work transfers
• Related Visa
• Work Uniform
• Visa Renewal as required (3D2N Penang, Malaysia for interns availing more than 3 months)

Exclusion
• Philippine Travel Tax (1620)
• Terminal Fee (550)
• Any form of insurance
• Meals outside allocation
• Meals and personal expenses during visa renewal
• Cash Bond 20,000.00 – 100% refundable upon arrival back in Manila (for SIAP)
• All others not included in the inclusions

Allowance or Honorarium
• Interns generally do not receive salaries as they are not OFW
• An allowance however will be granted per month which shall be determined by the Foreign Host Partner (indicated in the contract).
• Allowance will be in cash and shall be provided directly to the intern at the end of each working month or as may be provided for by the policies of the Foreign Host Establishment
• In no case shall allowance be less than 6,000Baht per month (PLUS service charge and TIPS)

Internship Holiday and Leave
• Interns do not enjoy any form of leave except for visa renewal purposes as maybe required
• Interns may be granted emergency leave in cases of illness
• The policy of the Foreign Host Partner on holiday and leave shall apply

Insurance
• Any form of insurance is not provided in the international internship package
• Interns will have to purchase their own insurance prior to start of internship

Basic Requirements for International Internship
• Female applicants must be at least 5’0” and male applicants must be at least 5’3” in height when bare foot and body must be proportional to height
• Good pleasing personality
• Excellent command of the English language
• Able to speak conversational Korean, Chinese, Japanese or Russians (at least one)
• No medical conditions and/or physical deformities
• Physically, mentally and emotionally fit

Documentary Requirements
• Original and valid passport
• Resume with ID picture (resume format is provided by J8 Travel)
• Original recommendation letter from the Dean with school seal/college seal
• Original Transcript of Records with school seal (photocopy for fresh graduate interns)
• Original Medical Certificate (pre-employment)
• Original Waiver and Parent’s/Guardian’s Consent duly notarized
• Internship Agreement duly notarized
• Photocopy Insurance Policy (for SIAP only)
• Photocopy of Diploma (for fresh graduate interns)
• Photocopy of any other valid ID (for SIAP only)
• Surety/Cash Bond (for SIAP only)
• Other documents as may be required by the Embassy and Host Hotel

Application Process
• Step 1 – Submit resume through email at internshipcenter@yahoo.com at least 6 months prior to date of internship and pay required fee.
• Step 2 – Prepare all documentary requirements at least 5 months prior to start of internship. Enclosed everything in a long brown envelop. Wait for our staff to collect them. You need to pay the required fees.
• Step 3 – Wait for the release of your Visa and Internship Contract
• Step 4 – Attend final briefing. All other documents will be released during this time.
• Step 5 – Fly for internship

Payment Scheme and Collection
• Students will directly pay to J8 Travel through BANK DEPOSIT to any of the following accounts:

• Credit card payment is accepted subject to bank changes. For credit card payment, J8 Staff will visit your university for payment transaction.
• Payment and collection will be on installment basis.
• No student is allowed to proceed for Internship if his or her account is not paid in full

Refund and Withdrawal
• Full refund shall be given if student is not granted a visa
• Full refund will be given if student is not accepted for internship
• No refund will be given if student has been granted a visa or accepted for internship or on his or her on choice, will not proceed for internship.

Contract
• Contract between student and the Foreign Host Establishment
• Contract between student and J8 Travel

REMARKS
• Internship Slot is limited but guaranteed. It shall be awarded on a First-to-Comply First-to-Fly basis.
• No interview is required in most hotels if applicant comes from autonomous universities and Level 2 accredited programs. However, some hotels still require it.
• Application may be submitted as early as 6 MONTHS prior to start of internship.
• Start of internship shall be determined by the host hotel.
• The host hotel has the sole prerogative to screen, choose and hire interns
• Host hotel has the sole prerogative to provide work schedule and day/s-off

• Credit Card payment is accepted (subject to bank fees and charges)
• Cheque Payment is accepted (but will only be credited after clearing)
• No refund is allowed once Internship Contract has been signed. Full amount due will be collected even if applicant withdraws.
• If an applicant is not issued a VISA, full refund will be given
• If applicant can not fly as scheduled, full refund with no deductions will be given
• Internship slot is not transferable.
• Once final schedule is given to the applicant-intern, no changes of date and duration shall be made
